Calathea Leopardina is a jungle plant that thrives in diffused, bright sunlight. Position out of direct sunlight to preserve the spectacular leaf patterns.


A harmless plant that poses no threat to dogs, cats or children.


Water regularly. Try to keep the compost moist without allowing the roots to sit in pooled water. A monthly feed with a diluted liquid fertiliser is also beneficial through spring and summer.


Pot using a good quality, free draining commercial compost. Ensure that the pot has adequate drainage holes in the base.
